1) The first game recorded and played in 1646 and later fines were handed out to those who had missed the church to play.
2) The longest cricket match took place in 1939 between England and South Africa. After 14 days it ended in a tie.
3) Cricket bats were not in present shape. Before 18th century cricket bats were in shape of modern day hockey sticks.
4) The oldest surviving cricket bats date from 1729.
5) The first test match was over in 4 days.
